Home cine film, shot by kayaking pioneer Hamish Gow, is combined with modern footage to tell stories from the early days of sea kayak exploration.  

Fascinating archive footage from Mingulay, Staffa, Treshnish Islands and St Kilda reveals a very different style of kayaking.  

This 24min film contains 8 mins of footage which also appears in  Volume 2, Sea Kayak with Gordon Brown.
